Rebels fast start against Evans Knights not enough

The Fannin County Rebels baseball team competed in Baseball at the Beach in Brunswick, Georgia, February 21-22. The Rebels faced off against the Evans County Knights Saturday, February 22.

Fannin 10U stars win title

The Fannin County 10U Recreation Allstar girls basketball team competed in their district championship Friday, September 21.  The Lady Rebels were able to beat Pickens and Trion to win the district tournament.

Lady Cougars top Lady Yellow Jackets

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars basketball team hosted the Lookout Valley Lady Yellow Jackets Tuesday, February 18. The game would be the last regular season home game of the year as the Lady Cougars celebrated seniors Emily Hemming and Hailey Brackett.

Lady Rebels tie North Forsyth

The Fannin County Lady Rebels soccer team hosted the 7A North Forsyth Lady Raiders on a cold night Thursday, February 13. Both teams played very physical, with neither team scoring in the first half.

Copper Basin falls to CSAS

The Copper Basin Cougar basketball team hosted the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences Thursday, February 13. The Cougars battled with the Patriots, taking the game to the fourth quarter, but CSAS was able to sneak away with a 48-43 win.

Lady Rebels place third in region tournament

The Fannin County Lady Rebels traveled to East Hall Monday, February 10, for a basketball battle with the Dawson County Lady Tigers to determine the third and fourth place winners of the Region 7AAA basketball tournament.

Fannin County senior Miles Johnson chose to further his academic and football career Wednesday, February 5, signing to play football at the University of Georgia. Johnson, who comes in at six foot five inches and 300 pounds, will only add to the Bulldogs’ powerful offensive line.

Tilson, Parks sign volleyball scholarship

Two Fannin County Lady Rebels volleyball players chose to extend their academic and volleyball careers by signing a scholarship to Truett McConnell University Monday, February 3.
