Coosa Eagles top Lady Rebels

The Fannin County Lady Rebels softball team held their senior night for three seniors after Wednesday’s home conference game against conference rival, the Coosa Eagles. The Eagles jumped out to an early lead and the Lady Rebels could not recover as they fell to Coosa 9-0.

Cougars top Yellow Jackets to remain unbeaten

The Copper Basin Cougars hit the road to Chattanooga for a Region 3-A battle with the 2-4 Lookout Valley Yellow Jackets Friday, October 2, and came back home with a solid 21-0 win to stay undefeated on the 2020 season.

Rebels top Leopards to remain undefeated

A slow start hindered the Rebels early against Banks County on a chilly night Friday, October 2, but an explosive third quarter sealed the deal for Fannin as they put up five touchdowns to extend their lead and win 49-13.

Fannin cross country competes

The Fannin County cross country teams traveled to Meeks Park in Union County Thursday, September 3,to compete in the Run to the Hills meet.  Both the boys and girls teams ended up with a  fifth place team finish. Zechariah Prater finished 11th overall with a time of (20:54).

Fannin County Rebels shut out Raiders for 48-0 win

Penalties plagued the Fannin County Rebels early in their matchup against the Southeast Whitfield Raiders Friday, September 25, but the Rebels’ high powered offense was able to score 48 points, while their defense kept the Raiders scoreless for the 48-0 win.

Cougars, Rebels square off October 23

A rivalry that has not been officially renewed for 23 years is set to be re-kindled Friday, October 23, as the Fannin County Rebels and Copper Basin Cougars plan to meet during the regular season and play four quarters of smash mouth, hard hitting football.

Lady Rebels defeat the Gordon Central Warriors

The Fannin County Lady Rebels softball team traveled to Gordon Central Wednesday, September 9, to take on the Warriors in a conference battle. Fannin got on a roll early and never stopped as they were able to top the Warriors 7-0.

Copper Basin tops Tellico Plains to remain perfect

The Copper Basin Cougars fell behind early, but came back to take an eye opening 56-14 victory when they hosted the Tellico Plains Bears Friday, September 11.
