Rebels lose battle with Pickens County

The Fannin County High School men’s basketball team went head to head with the Pickens County Dragons on the first night of the ETC Tip-Off Tournament Saturday, November 21. The Rebels battled the dragons for four quarters, but it was Pickens that squeaked by with a 57-54 win.

Lady Rebels start season 1-0 after topping Dragonettes

The Fannin County Lady Rebel basketball team started their 2020-2021 basketball season at the ETC Tip-Off Tournament Saturday, November 21, against Pickens County. The Lady Rebels started out strong, took the lead after halftime, kept it, winning the game 65-56.

Rebels undefeated for second time in school history

Undefeated Region 7-AA Champions, the Fannin County Rebels, traveled to Trenton, Georgia, Friday, November 20, to take on the Dade County Wolverines.

Fannin County Rebels fall to Raiders in preseason matchup

The Fannin County Rebels men’s basketball team started out great defensively in their preseason matchup against Habersham County, but ultimately fell to the Raiders 50-32. Both teams were solid defensively to start the game, with Habersham leading 8-6 at the end of the first quarter.

Lady Rebels fall to Habersham in preseason scrimmage

The Fannin County Lady Rebel basketball team hosted the Habersham Lady Raiders for a preseason basketball game Thursday, November 12. The game came down to the final buzzer, but the Lady Raiders managed to squeak out a 45-41 win.

Fannin cross country competes at state meet

The Fannin County Rebel and Lady Rebel cross country team competed in the state cross country meet in Carrollton, Georgia, Saturday, November 7. Both the Lady Rebels and the Rebels did well, setting Fannin County up for a great season next year.
