Rebels lose hard-fought battle against Wolverines

The Fannin County Rebel baseball team and Dade County Wolverines battled it out for seven innings, but it was Dade County that scored late in the fifth inning to take a 4-2 lead that they held onto until the end of the game as the Rebels fell 4-2.

Rebels dominate

The Fannin County Rebels soccer team was able to net seven goals Monday, March 22, as they toppled Dade County 7-1 for a regional victory. Andrew Jones led the Rebels with three goals in the contest, with Hayden Lynch, Andrew Harris, Jack Kantner and Hernan Mares scoring a goal as well.

Lady Rebels net six goals in Dade County win

The Fannin County Lady Rebels soccer team erupted on offense from the opening minutes Monday, March 22, scoring five goals in the first half, which was followed by one goal in the second to top region rival, the Dade County Lady Wolverines 6-0.

Fannin shines at track and field meet

The Fannin County Rebels and Lady Rebels track and field teams battled against Dawson County and Johnson High School Tuesday, March 23, and had a solid outing finishing overall in second place. In the Girls 100 Meter Dash, Monica Cosentino placed fourth overall.

Copper Basin falls to Indians

The Copper Basin Cougars baseball team struggled to cross home plate in their home opener Monday, March 15, as they fell to Towns County 11-1. Dawson Worthy started on the hill for the Cougars, pitching two and two-thirds innings, striking out five Indians.

Lady Cougars sweep CGLA

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars softball team started the 2021 softball season with two wins Monday, March 15, after an impressive double header sweep over the Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy (CGLA). The Lady Cougars topped the Lady Mustangs 21-0 in the first game, and 24-2 in the second.

Student athletes from Fannin County High School traveled to Jefferson County in Louisville, Georgia, Saturday, March 13, to compete in the state weightlifting competition.

Rebels football team holds banquet

The Fannin County Rebels’ football team officially put a bow-tie on a historic 2020 football season as they held their end-of-season banquet Tuesday, March 16, at the Fannin County Recreation Department.
