Rebels fall to Coosa Eagles

The Coosa Eagles put the bat on the ball against Fannin Monday, April 5, as Fannin fell to the Eagles 8-3. Logan Hughes toed the rubber for the Rebels to start the game, pitching three and two-thirds innings, striking out for batters.

Copper Basin overpowers Polk County

Kaitlyn Goode was a force at the plate in Copper Basin’s 17-6 rout of Polk County Monday, April 5. Goode finished the day with two singles, a triple, and a double, for three RBI’s in her four at bats in the game.

Rebels shine, Lady Rebels finish season

The Fannin County Rebels and Lady Rebels’ tennis teams traveled to Rome, Georgia, to battle in the region tournament. The boys played well and were able to qualify for the state tournament.

FCMS wins region title

The Fannin County Rebels middle school baseball team has had an impressive season, going 13-3 overall. That record was good enough to punch their ticket to the region championship and give them home-field advantage as they hosted the White County Warriors Tuesday, March 30, for the region title.

Rebels lose hard-fought battle against Wolverines

The Fannin County Rebel baseball team and Dade County Wolverines battled it out for seven innings, but it was Dade County that scored late in the fifth inning to take a 4-2 lead that they held onto until the end of the game as the Rebels fell 4-2.

Rebels dominate

The Fannin County Rebels soccer team was able to net seven goals Monday, March 22, as they toppled Dade County 7-1 for a regional victory. Andrew Jones led the Rebels with three goals in the contest, with Hayden Lynch, Andrew Harris, Jack Kantner and Hernan Mares scoring a goal as well.

Lady Rebels net six goals in Dade County win

The Fannin County Lady Rebels soccer team erupted on offense from the opening minutes Monday, March 22, scoring five goals in the first half, which was followed by one goal in the second to top region rival, the Dade County Lady Wolverines 6-0.

Fannin shines at track and field meet

The Fannin County Rebels and Lady Rebels track and field teams battled against Dawson County and Johnson High School Tuesday, March 23, and had a solid outing finishing overall in second place. In the Girls 100 Meter Dash, Monica Cosentino placed fourth overall.

Copper Basin falls to Indians

The Copper Basin Cougars baseball team struggled to cross home plate in their home opener Monday, March 15, as they fell to Towns County 11-1. Dawson Worthy started on the hill for the Cougars, pitching two and two-thirds innings, striking out five Indians.
