Copper Basin quarterback Bryson Grabowksi will officially further his academic and athletic career at Western Carolina University (WCU) following his letter of intent signing Wednesday, February 3, at Copper Basin High School.

For the first time since 2005, the Fannin County Rebels wrestling team are Area Champions. The Rebels traveled to Banks County Friday, February 5, and were able to dominate the competition to win the area.

Norton nets 19 points in Rebels win

The Fannin County Rebels basketball team extended their win streak to two Tuesday, January 26, as they defeated the Gordon Central Warriors 63-57. The Rebels fell behind in the first quarter as the Warriors outscored the Rebels 14-12.

Lady Rebels win streak continues

The Fannin County Lady Rebels increased their win streak to seven games Tuesday, January 26, as they topped a tough Gordon Central team 61-51.The Lady Rebels are now 7-0 in region play, leading AA Region 7.

Fannin Rebels claim Sweet Sixteen finish

The Fannin County Rebels wrestling team competed in the first round of the state playoffs Saturday, January 23, as the Rebels looked to advance to the Elite Eight. Fannin County faced Glenn Hill Academy in the first round and was able to top Spartans 76-6 to advance to the Sweet-16.

Lady Cougars lose to Lady Panthers

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars traveled to Sale Creek Friday, January 22, to take on the Lady Panthers. The Lady Cougars battled hard, but fell to Sale Creek 50-32.

The Copper Basin Cougars faced off against the Sale Creek Panthers Friday, January 22, at Sale Creek. The Cougars battled for four quarters and were able to hold off the Panthers for a 48-41 region victory.
