Basin wins in three at CGLA

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars volleyball team hit the road Tuesday, September 19, to take on Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy. The second match in as many weeks went the same as a week earlier, with Copper Basin defeating CGLA in three sets.

Rebels roll over Gordon Central

The Fannin County Rebels put 42 points on the scoreboard for a shutout win in their first region match up this year. The 42-0 victory came over the visiting Gordon Central Warriors at the Fannin High stadium Friday night.

Two former Copper Basin High School football standouts were honored by the school’s new alumni association Friday night prior to the Cougars game against the Chattanooga Prep Seminoles.

Copper Basin’s Lady Cougar volleyball team hosted arch-rival Polk County Thursday, September 14 at Copper Basin High School. The Lady Cougars dominated the Lady Wildcats, beating them in three sets.

Lady Rebels post two huge wins

The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels earned two huge softball wins over Gordon Central High School in the doubleheader Thursday, September 14, with scores of 20-1 and 25-0. During the first game, 11 runs in the first inning gave the Lady Rebels an early lead in their victory.

Gilmer falls to Fannin

The Lady Rebels volleyball team took a win in three sets over Gilmer Tuesday, September 9. For the first set, the Lady Rebels won 25-15, 25-17 in the second set, and sealed their win with a score of 25-17. Sophomore Peyton Slone added 16 kills and Maddie Pelfrey served two aces.

It was a busy night at Copper Basin High School Friday, September 8, when the Cougars hosted the Titans from New Faith Christian Academy.

Basin beats Polk

Copper Basin’s Lady Cougar volleyball team traveled to take on their rival Polk County Tuesday, August 29, in Benton. After losing the first set 25-22,  the Lady Cougars stormed back and swept the next three sets 25-19, 25-13, and 25-18 to win the match.
