Lady Rebels claim region tennis title   The Fannin County High School girls tennis team are now the tennis champions for Georgia’s 7-A Division One region. “I am so very proud of both of these teams.   The girls were so close last year,” Coach Suzianne Pass said.

Rebels dominate Coosa Eagles in double header

The Fannin County Rebels baseball team swept a pair of games in dominating fashion over the Coosa Eagles Friday, March 21. In the first game of the double header, the Rebels won big 10-0.

FCHS Rebel wrestlers not short on spirit

Two particular wrestling matches exemplified the spirit of Fannin’s boys and girls wrestling teams this year, wrestling coach David Henson said. In the match that would decide whether he would make the podium, senior wrestler Landon Poole faced an opponent who had beaten him just weeks before.

Cross country athletes earn honors

Six Fannin County High School Cross Country athletes have been selected to the 2024 Rome All Area High School Cross Country Team. Lindsey Holloway and Karli Sams were both named to the First Team. Receiving Second Team honors were Lila Borum and Kensley Pickelsimer.

Lady Rebels score tennis victories

The Rebels girls tennis team had a victorious week, triumphing over Armuchee and Christian Heritage. In Monday matches against Armuchee, the girls team made a strong showing with Sadie Patton winning her singles match with a 6-0 set and 6-1 set.

Rebels post five runs in seventh to defeat Coosa

The Fannin County Rebels baseball team scored five runs in the seventh inning, which helped them defeat region opponent Coosa, 8-1, Tuesday, March 18.

Lady Cougars end historic season

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars’ history making basketball season came to an end Wednesday, March 12. The Lady Cougars squared off against the Richland Lady Raiders, the teams representing two of the final eight in the state basketball championship chase.

Commitment drives FCHS tennis team

When the Fannin County High School (FCHS) tennis team comes to the end of practice time, they often have one demand, coach Suzanne Pass said. “Hey, can you hit me one more?” This level of commitment drives the team to early-morning and weekend practices, she said.
