Track: Fannin athletes victorious over Pickens County

    The Fannin County High School Rebel and Lady Rebel Track & Field teams posted victories over Pickens County High School Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Fannin County High School Stadium.

    The following FCHS athletes for placed in the top three in their respective event(s) and the following relay teams placed first at this meet:

    •Lindsey Holloway finished first in the 3200 meter run;

    •Karli Sams finished first  in the 1600 meter run and second in the 3200 run;

    •Sydney Ford finished third  in the 3200 meter run and third in the 1600 meter run;

    •Amberly Patterson finished first in the 100 meter hurdles and third in the 300 meter hurdles;

    •Sadie Patton finished first in the 100 meter dash and third in the 800 meter run;

    •Annaleigh Cheatham finished second in the 100 meter dash, first in long jump, and third in the triple jump;

    •Venice Oliver finished third in the 100 meter dash and second in triple jump;

    •Lana Hicks finished second in the 400 meter dash;

    •Zoe Johnson finished 3rd in the 400 meter dash;

    •Caylee Gaddis finished second in the 200 meter dash and third in long jump;

    •Adia Galloway finished third in the 200 meter dash and second in pole vault;

    •Sydney German finished first in shot put and third in discus;

    •Presley Daves finished third in shot put and second in discus;

    •Toccoa Hampton finished first in high jump;

    •Kate Freeman finished first in pole vault;

    •Avery Collis finished first in triple jump.

    •The girls 4x800 meter relay team made up of Lindsey Holloway, Kensley Pickelsimer, Ava Acker, and Karli Sams finished first;

    •The girls 4x400 meter relay team made up of Sadie Patton, Annaleigh Cheatham, Cayley Gaddis, and Ava Acker finished first;

    •Henry Schueneman finished first in the 3200 meter run;

    •Joe DiBenedetto finished first in the 110 meter hurdles;

    •Luke Holsonback finished 1st in the 100 meter dash and first in the 400 meter dash;

    •Cohutta Brown finished 2nd in the 100 meter dash;

    •Ryan Preston finished third in the 100 meter dash, second in high jump, and second in long jump;

    •Hudson Lynch finished second in the 1600 meter run;

    •Braden Taylor finished first in the 300 meter hurdles and first in pole vault;

    •Braxton Cheatham finished first in the 200 meter dash and first in high jump;

    •Cooper Hilliard finished second in triple jump and second in long jump;

    •Scotty Waldrep finished third in triple jump;

    •Conrad Head finished second in pole vault;

    •Breven Hennessey finished third in pole vault;

    •Cooper Born finished first in discus and second in shot put;

    •Isaac Watkins finished third in discus and first in shot put; and,

    •The boys 4x400 meter relay team made up of Luke Holsonback, Matthew Ponton, Braden Taylor, and Brodey Angel finished first.

    Track & Field Senior Night also took place at this meet.  The following seniors were honored and recognized; Caylee Gaddis, Natalie Herendon, Lindsey Holloway, Cooper Born, Cohutta Brown, Barron Davenport, Jacob Dye, Cooper Hilliard, Luke Holsonback, and Braden Taylor.
