Tennis: Lady Rebels winners
The Rebels girls tennis team had a victorious week, triumphing over Armuchee and Christian Heritage.
In Monday matches against Armuchee, the girls team made a strong showing with Sadie Patton winning her singles match with a 6-0 set and 6-1 set.
Izzie Jabaley lost her first singles set 3-6, but came back for a win in the next two, getting 6-3 and 6-2 respectively.
Maddie Schueneman won her first singles set 6-0, then won the next 6-3.
Then the Lady Rebels competed in a Tuesday match against Christian Heritage.
In singles, Patton swept to victory with two sets in which she didn’t let her opponent score a point.
Izzie Jabaley won her two sets as well. On the first, she scored six points to one. On the second, she won six to three.
Finally Maddie Schueneman won her first set six to two, lost her second four to six, and won the tiebreaker six to two.
The team had a game scheduled on Thursday against Woody Gap High School, but it was canceled due to weather.
