Marcia Hartley

Mrs. Marcia Lou Hartley, age 87, of Blue Ridge, passed away June 15, 2020.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wonderful homemaker.

Timothy Davenport

Mr. Timothy Dean Davenport, age 67, of Blue Ridge, passed away June 20, 2020, in Hayesville, North Carolina.  Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of Hattie McKinney Davenport. Timothy had worked for the Fannin County Schools for 42 years, first as a school bus driver, then as a mechanic.

David Johnson

Walter David Johnson (aka Dave Johnson), 81, died February 14, 2020, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia.  He was born September 26, 1938, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of William Johnson and Emily Richardson Johnson.

Danny Hopkins

Danny Ray Hopkins, age 58, of Turtletown, passed away June 13, 2020, in the Tenova Health Care in Cleveland, Tennessee.  He was born in Cherokee County, North Carolina, December 14, 1961.

Ted Wheeler

Ted Dwayne Wheeler, age 65 of Morganton, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020, at his home.   He was born January 13, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Odell Medford Wheeler and Eva Grace Monohan Wheeler.  He worked for the Local #926/ Teamsters in Atlanta, Georgia as a crane operator.

John Burrell

John Earl Burrell, age 64, of Turtletown, passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at his home.  Survivors are sons, John Burrell, Ron Burrell and Josh Burrell; brothers, Randy Burrell and Chris Burrell; sister, Jeannette Longairc; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lois Nicholson

Lois Elizabeth Nicholson, age 80, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020. She was born on August 10, 1939, in Dawsonville, Georgia to the late Beulah Ensley Weaver and Leonard Weaver. Mrs. Nicholson was a homemaker. She was a member of Staffordtown Holiness Church.  Mrs.

Lougenia Wilson

Lougenia had a vibrant personality and strong work ethic that led her to a lifetime of achievements. She began her working career at West Fannin High School, where she was manager of the girls basketball team and graduated with honors with the Class of 1963.

Dennis Wilson

Staff Sgt. Dennis Lee Wilson Sr., U.S.M.C. (Retired) passed away at his home March 26, 2020, surrounded by family and Friends.  Dennis was born  August 28, 1944, in Blue Ridge to the late Arthur (A.J.) and Margaret (Jean) Ross Wilson.

Bobbie Waters

Mrs. Bobbie Smith Waters, age 73, of Copperhill, passed away June 9, 2020.  She was born in Grove Hill, Alabama, March 26, 1947. Bobbie retired as a Dispatch Operator for the Polk County Sheriffs office after many years of dedicated service.
