Mrs. Imogene Mildred Maynor, age 87, of Blairsville, Georgia, formerly of Blue Ridge, passed away December 16, 2020, in Union General Hospital.  She was born in Ranger, North Carolina, to the late Grady and Ida Hartness Coleman. Mrs.

Gretta Louise Ross, age 88, of the Wolf Creek Community near Mineral Bluff, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020.   She was born June 4, 1932, in Isabella, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Walter and Cosby Amburn Brooks. She was a clerk for John Jabley and Sons.

Shirley Rhodes

Shirley (Woot) Miller Rhodes, age 74, of Copperhill, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 17, 2020. She was born in the Isabella community to the late George and Madelyn Miller.  She retired from the nursing profession in 2005 after over 40 years of serving her community.

“Big Jim” Holsonback

The Rev. James E. “Big Jim” Holsonback, age 68, of Epworth, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, December 16, 2020.  Jim was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. But most of all, he was a true servant of God.

First Lieutenant James Erie Tyler, age 89, of Copperhill, passed away December 13, 2020, in Blue Ridge.  Lieutenant Tyler was born June 30, 1931, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to the late James Guy Tyler and the late Ildred Kingston Woodruff.

Mrs. Evelyn C. Payne, age 89, of Morganton, passed into her heavenly home Thursday, December 17, 2020, after a short time of declining health.

Shirley Ann Flowers was born in Loganville, Georgia, to the late Joseph Washington Dalton and the late Ruby Mae Kirk Dalton, and she was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. Shirley was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
