Jean Anderson

Jean Alice Anderson, age 88, of Blue Ridge, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at the Chattanooga Hospice Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She was born April 24, 1932, in Ducktown. She was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle.

Clara Lee Hooper

Mrs. Clara Lee Hooper, 73, of Mineral Bluff, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, in Cleveland, Tennessee at Tennova Hospital.  She was born February 22, 1947, in Cleveland to the late Charles Kenneth Elliott and Irene Griggs Elliott.  She loved her family and she loved the Lord.

Reba Gmeiner

Mrs. Reba Joanna Gmeiner, age 87, of Ducktown, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021.  She was born August 13, 1933in Copperhill, to the late Elmer Burger and Grace Johnson Burger. She attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.

John Robinson

John Alva Robinson, age 73, of Blue Ridge passed Thursday, December 10, 2020. He was born January 26, 1947, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to his late parents Samuel Eley and Sara Belle (Baxter) Robinson. John was of the Methodist faith and was a retired high school math teacher.

Buddy Wehunt

William Harrison “Buddy” Wehunt, age 59, of Epworth, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020.  He was born in Copperhill, to the late William Homer “Bill” Wehunt and Helen Marie Hughes Wehunt. Buddy worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation, first as an engineer and later as an auditor.

Kathleen Arp

Kathleen Hughes Arp, 95, of McCaysville, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021.  She was born November 9, 1925, in Copperhill to the late Arlin Jack Hughes, Sr. and Gertrude Freeman Hughes.  Kathleen was an active member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville.

Stuart Baze

Stuart Albert Baze, known to all his friends and family as “Stu”, of Blue Ridge, formerly of Midland, Texas, passed away January 4, 2021, at the age of 49. He was born June 7, 1971, in Midland to the late Lloyd Preston and Linda Wallace Baze.

James Earl Phillips

James Earl Phillips, age 84, of Fayetteville,  Georgia, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021.  Mr. Phillips was born April 30, 1936, in Cherokee, North Carolina, to the late William T. Phillips and the late Lou Ella Bailey Phillips. He was a member of the North Fayette United Methodist Church.

Mike Queen

Mike Queen, or “Coach” as he was fondly referred to, age 70, of McCaysville, gained his new body and heavenly wings Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Emory Saint Joseph Hospital in a brave fight against COVID. His family was at his side.
