Lady Cougars show promise at ETC tournament

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars battled the Pickens County Dragonettes Monday, November 22, and Gilmer County Tuesday, November 23. The Lady Cougars fought hard in both games, but ended up falling to the Dragonettes 62-19, and the Lady Cats 54-27.
The Fannin County Lady Rebels were crowned ETC Tournamnet champions Tuesday, November 23, after their 42-39 victory against the Pickens County Dragonettes. Lady Rebels win ETC Tip Off Tournament

The Fannin County Lady Rebel basketball team was able to fend off the Pickens County Dragonettes for the ETC Tip-Off Tournament title Tuesday, November 23.

Lady Rebels offense too much for Lady Cougars

The Fannin County Lady Rebels and Copper Basin Lady Cougars faced off in the first night of the ETC Tip Off Tournament Saturday, November 20. The Lady Rebels were able to jump out early thanks to their full court press as they topped Copper Basin 69-13.
Lainey Panter was awarded her Georgia High School Association (GHSA) 2021 Class 2AA State Championship ring, Saturday, November 20. Panter was a dominant golfer during her time with the Fannin County Lady Rebels golf team. Panter was recognized in between the Fannin County and Copper Basin basketball games on the first night of the ETC Tournament. Fannin County ends season with loss to Fitzgerald

The Fannin County Rebel football team’s season came to an end Friday, November 19, when they fell to the Fitzgerald Hurricanes 28-14 in the the Sweet Sixteen round of the Georgia High School Association’s State Playoffs.

Friends and family gathered at the Fannin County High School gym Wednesday, November 11, to watch senior Lady Rebel Becca Ledford further her academic and athletic career. Ledford chose to sign with University of West Georgia.

Rebels advance to sweet sixteen

The Fannin County Rebel football team cruised to the sweet sixteen round of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Football Playoffs when they topped the Bremen Blue Devils 45-14  in front of the Rebels home crowd Friday, November 12.

The Lady Rebels were able to finish in tenth place. Rebels repeat as region champs

The Fannin County Rebel football team are back-to-back region champions for the first time in school history. The Rebels claimed the title Friday, November 5, when they hosted Dade County in a winner takes all dog fight.
