Lady Cougars roll over Polk

Copper Basin’s Lady Cougars made quick work of the Polk County Lady Wildcats when the two team squared off in volleyball action at the Copper Basin gym. The Lady Cougars won the match in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-17.

Fannin streak continues with 38-6 win

The Fannin County High School football Rebels continued their winning streak Saturday afternoon when the Gordon Cenrtal Warriors became their sixth victim against no defeats.

Copper Basin downs Lady Knights

Copper Basin’s Lady Cougars dominated the first two sets and held on in the third to defeat the North Georgia Christian Academy (NGCA) Lady Knights  in volleyball action Monday, September 16. Hosting the Lady Knights, the Lady Cougars won 25-12, 25-14, and 25-23.

Lady Rebels at 20-6

Senior Kaylie Davenport leads the Fannin County Lady Rebels volleyball team  with 112 kills,  3.7 per set, while a freshman, Ashlyn Jones, paces the team in serving aces with 35. Those accomplishments are some of the many the Lady Rebels have accumulated through September 20.

Rebels 5-0 with win over Dade

The Fannin County High School Rebels football team continued their undefeated season Friday, September 20, with a 44-0 win over Dade County. This win made Head Coach Chad Cheatham the winningest coach in Fannin County history.

Fannin County Lady Rebel volleyball seniors honored

The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels hosted Pickens County, Thursday, September 12. The Lady Rebels earned the win 3-1 on their Senior Night when four seniors were honored: Bailee Stiles, Kaylie Davenport, Maddie Pelfrey and Rylee King.

Lady Cougars improve record

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars volleyball team improved their overall record to 3-3 and their district worksheet to 3-2 with a varsity win over Lookout Valley last week. Copper Basin won the match 25-15, 25-13, and 25-12.

4-0: The winning streak continues

Fannin County’s Rebels started region play in blowout fashion Friday night, September 13, handing the Coosa Eagles a 42-0 defeat. The Rebels are now 1-0 in the region, and off to a perfect 4-0 mark for the season.

Holloway sets pace as Lady Rebels finish 16th out of 25

Lindsey Holloway continued to set the pace for the Fannin County Lady Rebels cross country team with her performance at the AT&T Starr’s Mill Panther Cross Country meet in Fayetteville, Georgia, August 31.

Lady Rebels 18-3

The Fannin County Lady Rebels volleyball team is riding atop a 18-3 record as it sets its sights on post season play. Among Fannin’s victims this year have been Gilmer County twice, Pickens County, and region foes Chestatee, Gordon Central, Dade County and Dalton Academy.
