Lady Rebels at 20-6

Senior Kaylie Davenport leads the Fannin County Lady Rebels volleyball team  with 112 kills,  3.7 per set, while a freshman, Ashlyn Jones, paces the team in serving aces with 35.

Those accomplishments are some of the many the Lady Rebels have accumulated through September 20.

Fannin County defeated the Trion Lady Bulldogs September 19 by scores of 25-20 and 25-22 to improve their season record to 20-6. Their region mark stands at 4-4 and puts them in sixth place.

Behind Davenport in the kills rankings are junior Keslie Kea with 44,  1.5 per set, and senior Bailee Stiles with 36, 1.2 per set.

Junior Maggie Ledford is not far behind Jones’ ace pace with 30 and senior Maddie Pelfrey is also close to the top with 27.

Stiles is also on the leader board with blocks at 11, followed by junior Kendall Clore with 9 and senior Rylee King with five.

Pelfrey’s 110 digs is tops in that Lady Rebel stat, followed by Davenport’s 67 and Ledford’s 59.

Ledford steps up to lead the team in assists with 132, followed by Jones with 95 and Pelfrey with 38.

The hitting percentage crown after 26 matches goes to Ledford with 29.6 percent. Less than a percentage point behind is Davenport at 28.9. They are followed by Stiles’ 18.9% mark.
