Copper Basin’s Lady Cougars made quick work of the Polk County Lady Wildcats when the two team squared off in volleyball action at the Copper Basin gym.
The Lady Cougars won the match in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-17.
Junior Kendra Deal helped set the pace for Copper Basin, leading the team in assists with 12, adding nine digs and scoring five aces.
Kenzlie Ballew was the leader in aces with seven. She also had eight assists and two digs.
Alexis Hyatt set the tone in kills with 14. She also recorded an ace and five digs.
Claire Ledford was also a menace to Polk County from the serving line, scoring six aces. She added five kills, an assist and two digs.
Riley Akens matched Deal’s digs totals with nine, while adding a kill and an ace.
Also getting in the record book for the Lady Cougars were;
•Cora Kimsey with two kills, an assist and two digs;
•Zoe Green with five digs and an assist;
•Savanna Bloodworth with three digs;
•Trinity Smith with four digs; and,
•Addison Hyatt with six digs.
