The Copper Basin Cougars wrapped up their spring practice by treating fans to a showcase Thursday night, May 26. The Copper Basin High School cheerleaders joined the event to give fans a peak of the game atmosphere they can look forward to this fall.

Lady Rebel all stars tackle Tennessee

Fannin County High School senior soccer players Kinsley Sullivan, Rachael Jessen and Taylor Poland were invited to play in the 2022 Georgia vs. Tennessee All Star Soccer Game. The Georgia team is made up of young women from across the North Georgia region.
The Fannin County High School track and field teams competed in the 2A State Championship May 12, May 13 and May 14. The athletes photographed made the podium in their event(s). The Fannin County High School (FCHS) track and field teams had eight members and one team make the podium at the 2A State Championship.

Copper Basin High School (CBHS) senior softball player Channing Beach signed her letter of intent to play softball at Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU) Thursday, May 5. Beach has been on the CBHS softball team and lettered all four years and was selected for the All-District team her senior year.

Fannin Rebel baseball players honored

Nine Fannin County baseball Rebels were honored for their outstanding efforts this season, as they made the 2022 Region 7-AA All Region Team. Senior pitcher Jason Pearson, junior catcher Hayden Danner, and senior outfielder Sawyer Moreland were all voted onto the first team.

Eli White setting baseball pace

Copper Basin High School senior student athlete Eli White has made his mark on Tennessee High School baseball with the  batting average of .667, which is first in all classifications in Tennessee. He is also tied for fifteenth in the United States.

Lady Rebels season ends with 16-2 record

The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels soccer team wrapped up their 16-2 season Monday April 25 at their home field with an 8-0 to Pace Academy in the third round of 2AA State Playoffs,. The team combined for 30 defensive steals against Pace Academy.

Fannin track stars advance to sectionals

The Fannin County High School track teams ended their regular season as Region 7AA Runner-ups at the Regional Meet at Gordon Central High School Monday, April 25 and Wednesday, April 27. Between both teams, 15 individuals and six teams qualified for State Sectionals.
