Runners, Holloway continue to shine

Many members of the Fannin County High School (FCHS) Track and Field athletes competed Saturday, March 30, in the Georgia Spring Break Showdown at Marietta High School.
These Fannin County High School Rebel basketball players were recognized for their individual contributions to this year’s season, which saw the team place second in Region 7AA and earn a trip to post season play. Displaying their awards are, from left, front, Hudson Ethington, Ben Bloch, Matthew Ponton, and Jordan Richerson; and, back, Cole Gribble, Isaiah Angel and Kolton Kaylor.

Rebels honored for basketball efforts

Members of the Fannin County High School Rebels basketball team were honored recently for their accomplishments this past season. The Rebels posted a 15-13 overall record, and went 8-4 to finish in second place in Region 7AA.

Graves takes over Cougar football

By Catrina McQuigg Brett Graves, a football coach from Haysville, North Carolina, has been hired at Copper Basin High School to take over the Cougars gridiron program. The announcement of the new Cougar leader was made last week by school Principal Holly Smith.

The Fannin County High School track and field team competed Wednesday, March 13 at the Marist School against Marist and West Forsyth High School.

Fannin teams shine at invitational meet
