Kenneth Corben Holder, age 89, of Copperhill, passed away April 12, 2021, at his residence.  He was born March 7, 1932, in Ducktown, to the late Richmond David “Wilburn” Holder and Carrie Evelyn Cook.

Mr. Charles “Terry” Rutherford, age 82, of Blue Ridge Trails, Morganton, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 11, 2021, in the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital of Jasper, Georgia, following an extended illness.

Geneva Hyatt

Mrs. Geneva Henson Hyatt, age 89, of Mineral Bluff, died April 4 at Pruitt Healthcare in Blue Ridge. She was born in Mineral Bluff, to the late Samuel Leonard and Icie Davis Henson. Her two brothers, Hoover and Joe, preceded her in death.

Charles Richard “Chuck” Foster, age 70, of Epworth, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Fannin Regional Hospital.  He was born May 11, 1950, in Ducktown, to the late Luther Thomas Foster and the late Mamie Laura Watson Foster.

Mary Craig

Mary Sue Craig, affectionately known as “Nana” to those who knew her best, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 4, 2021, at the age of 83.  She was born August 23, 1937, to Clifton (Shag) and Susie Hunt in Hemptown, Georgia.

James Deal

James Elvin Deal, age 75, of Copperhill, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He was born January 6, 1946, in Copperhill, to the late Elvin Woodrow Deal and Artie Lucille Carpenter Deal.

Dewey Derreberry

Shane Adrian Derreberry, affectionately known as “Dewey,” passed away March 29, 2021, at age 14.  He was a student at Fannin County Middle School and a member of the Fannin County Middle School football team. He was an energetic, loving, hugging, young man who always had a smile on his face.

Steve Hancock

Larry Stephen “Steve” Hancock was born January 31, 1948, in Copperhill, to Wilburn Hancock and Lucy (Wilson) Hancock. Steve passed away peacefully in Copperhill, March 23, 2021, due to congestive heart failure. He married his soulmate Rita (Mull) Hancock, in June of 1966.

Delma Galloway

Delma Parris Galloway, age 102, of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at her home.  Mrs. Galloway was born August 30, 1918, in Morganton, to the late Nathan Parris and the late Mexico Turner Parris.
