Clyde Welch

Clyde Roosevelt Welch, age 87, of Blue Ridge, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at his home.  Mr. Welch was born in Chatsworth, Georgia, May 14, 1933, to the late Floyd Knighten Welch and Ollie Jane Osborn Welch. Mr. Welch proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Timothy Dillard Grant Sr., age 62, of Knollwood Road, Mineral Bluff, formerly of Ducktown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 31, 2021, following an extended illness.  Timothy was born October 9, 1958, in Miami, Florida, son of Martha Jean Dillard and the late Julian Lewis Grant Sr.

Jacob Stanley

Jacob Stanley, age 85, of Talking Rock, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021.  He was born August 16, 1935 in Dial. Jacob retired from Jasper Rubber Company as a press operator. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and Blaine Masonic Lodge #534 F&AM for almost 60 years.

Sherry Ray

Sherry Maria Tanner Ray, age 71, of Copperhill, passed away March 27, 2021, in Blue Ridge.  She was born in Copperhill,  March 11, 1950, to the late Ralph Lee and Ann Evelyn Walden Tanner. She was a 1969 graduate of West Fannin High School.

Ed Sapp

Ed Sapp, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, at home, Sunday, March 21, 2021, surrounded by family.  He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and retired to Blue Ridge, after a 35 year career in law enforcement in South Florida.

Thomas Taylor

Thomas Lee Taylor, 76, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away February 11, 2021. He was born June 7, 1944, in Emporia, Virginia. He proudly served in the United Stares Army for 22 years, being stationed in Vietnam, Germany and Washington, DC, among other duty stations.

Hazel Smith

Mrs. Hazel Payne Smith, age 99, of Morganton, passed away March 23, 2021, in the Canton Nursing Center in Canton, Georgia.  She was born May 17, 1921, in Hurst, Georgia, to the late Norvie Grayson and Laura Frances Rector Payne. Mrs.

Diane Queen

Diane Goss Queen, age 69, of Copperhill, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021,  in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Mrs. Queen was born July 22, 1951, in McCaysville, to the late Luther Goss and the late Vernia Millsaps Goss.

Marjorie Dunn

Marjorie May Dunn, born August 12, 1928, in Danvers, Massachusetts, passed away to be with Jesus March 7, 2021. She was cared for at Life Care of Copper Basin for three years. Marjorie was a telephone operator at Bell Telephone until she met and married Roger S. Dunn.

Jerry Bradburn

Mr. Jerry L. Bradburn, age 67, of Blue Ridge, passed away March 14, 2021, at the Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton, Georgia. He was born in Blue Ridge to the late Charlie William and Emma Lou Pless Bradburn.
