Charles Richard “Chuck” Foster, age 70, of Epworth, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Fannin Regional Hospital. 

He was born May 11, 1950, in Ducktown, to the late Luther Thomas Foster and the late Mamie Laura Watson Foster. Chuck had a great personality, never meet a stranger, and he also had a great sense of humor and loved to play pranks. He graduated from West Fannin High School in 1968 and attended Southern Tech in Marietta, Georgia. Chuck was employed for 20 years by the City Service Company in Copperhill.

He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Thomas Foster; mother, Mamie Laura Watson Foster; and niece, Elizabeth Ann Patterson.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Foster; son, Charles “Luke” Foster; daughter-in-law, Melody Brickstone Foster; and sister, Patricia Foster McGlamry.

Services will be Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Harbor Ministries Church in McCaysville, with Pastor Denise Caldwell and Rev. Claude Mathis officiating. The eulogy will be by his son, Luke Foster. 

Interment will follow in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Martin, Larry Kimsey, Steve Patterson, Larry Sosebee, B.J. Thomas and Charlie Whitners.

The family received  friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
