Doors open at Blue Ridge Assisted Living

By Glenn Harbison glenn@thenewsobserver.com Blue Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care opened its doors wide Friday, July 2, to welcome visitors for “the first big public event we’ve had since post-COVID,” Cindy Querry said.

By Glenn Harbison glenn@thenewsobserver.com Blue Ridge Police Officer Gary Holloway spotted a Chevrolet S-10 pickup that looked suspicious and within minutes joined Sergeant John Kinser of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office in stopping the truck on Highway 515 at the entrance to Tammen Park.

A Habitat for Humanity Success Story

Adopt A Pet

Furry friends are arguably the best kind, and plenty can be found at Fannin County Animal Control. All dogs taken to animal control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted. This past week, three dogs were taken in, and one was adopted. None were reclaimed.
