$250,000 deal offered to settle police brutality allegations
The Paws in the Park parade drew a huge crowd of owners and their pets to downtown Blue Ridge Saturday morning. These young ladies introduced the start of the event behind Fannin County Fire Chief Larry Thomas who led the parade with his truck blaring, “Who Let the Dogs Out.”

Library committee gets look at proposed building
This was the scene at approximately 10:30 Friday night in Copperhill after the Ford SUV in the center of the picture crashed into and then went through the building in the backgrouond at the end of Ferry Street. The building, located not far from the back of the former New York Restaurant, reportedly belongs to Dr. Richard Tanner. Official reports were not available Monday due to the Columbus Day Holiday.
