Polk budget back to officials

Making Polk County’s budget balance was put back in the hands of the county’s elected officials Tuesday night, June 16. At the end of a two-hour meeting of the county’s budget committee, members agreed to ask office holders to cut their budgets by not less than two or more than three percent.

Copperhill water customers running dry

Body identified as Potter

The body found in a car Thursday, June 11, has been identified as Anthony D. Potter, 54, of Old Bullen Gap Road in Blue Ridge. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Lab made the identification, which was announced Thursday, June 18, according to Investigations Sergeant J.K.
