Those interested in running for a spot on the City of Copperhill’s council may pick up petitions at City Hall.
Potential candidates must reside in the City of Copperhill and obtain 25 signatures. There is no fee to petition.
Petitions should be turned in by August 20 to the Polk County Election Commission, 6050 Highway 411 Benton, Tennessee.
Available spots include the mayor and five council members, according to Polk County’s Administrator of Elections Nathan Hitson. Each will serve for four years.
Voting will take place in the Tuesday, November 3, Presidential Election at the Copper Basin Community Center in Ducktown.
