School signup office opens

All new Fannin County student registrations will be processed through the system’s new centralized registration office starting this year.

Parents/Guardians will be able to make appointments for Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to see Central Registrar Sandra Silva online at https://calendly.com/fcssstudentregistration/new-student-registration?month=2020-06 or by phone at 706-946-2004.

The Central Registrar is located on the Fannin County High School (FCHS) Campus. The system suggests parking in the small parking lot to the left when you turn into the FCHS campus. The entrance is at the bottom of the Performing Arts Center.

Parents/Guardians should print and bring a completed enrollment packet, which can be found online at https://sites.google.com/fannin.k12.ga.us/fcsscentralregistrar.

However, those unable to print it will be able to fill one out during their appointment.

The affidavit of Georgia residency form in the enrollment packet must be notarized.  A notary will be available at the registration appointment.

The system asks that the following be brought to the appointment:

• Birth Certificate;

• Current Immunization Record (Must be on a Georgia Form);

• Eye, Ear, Dental examination record (Form 3300);

• Social Security Card; and.

• Proof of Residency (two documents, i.e. utility bill, paperwork, etc. verifying your 911 address; P.O. box is not a proof of residency).

Examinations are available at the Fannin County Health Department, which can be reached at 706-632-3023.

Having copies of each child’s last report card and the withdrawal form from the previous school will make transitions smoother, school system officials said.

To enroll a child in school, the person registering them must be either the parent or legal guardian of the child.
