Officers hear they are defining force protecting freedom

Johnny Scearce honored for dedication, professionalism

Johnny Scearce received special recognition when the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) held its annual Quad Network Banquet in McCaysville Thursday, September 9. The veteran law enforcement officer has presented a plaque in honor of his dedication and professionalism in law enforcement.

The Humane Society of Blue Ridge cat of the week is Purrcy. She is a 6-month-old tabby with lovely swirl patterns on her soft coat. Purrcy is always up for a friendly greeting and a lap to purr on. She is happy and playful, and she enjoys being around other felines.
