Fannin County Animal Control had 14 dogs in their care as of Friday morning, April 29. This past week, seven dogs were taken in, while four were adopted. Three dogs were reclaimed by owners and two dogs were taken in by the Humane Society of Blue Ridge.

A Fannin County man was arrested on a charge he burned his mother’s home shortly after the Friday, April 22, fire. Justin Reefer Davenport, 29, of 927 Aska Road, is charged with a single count of Arson in the1st Degree, a felony.

Donald Paul Reustle was arrested last week by Fannin County Sheriff’s Office investigators on five felony charges of Distributing Material Depicting Nudity or Sexual Conduct. Reustle, 45, of 175 Mountainside Drive, Blue Ridge, was taken into custody Tuesday, April 19.
