Ada Street could see 4-story building

The Planning Commission for the City of Blue Ridge approved the Green Rocks, LLC Ada Street rezoning request at the December 3 meeting held at City Hall.  The first case presented during the meeting was that of Mike Galinski operating as Green Rocks, LLC regarding the empty lots at 51 Ada St.

Basin Museum enters a new era

Three-phase face lift progressing The proverbial face lift that is Ducktown Basin Museum’s three-phase restoration and renovation project is at the end of phase two. All that’s left is a little cleaning up and some finishing touches, which will be completed this week.

Former president honored at Love Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Fannin Regional Hospital Auxiliary honored former president Sarah Lanning at their annual Love Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony Tuesday, December 3. While president, Lanning worked to secure a permanent, planted tree to alleviate issues that had occurred with prior trees due to weather.

Adopt A Pet

There are many sweet dogs waiting for a loving home at Fannin County Animal Control. In the past week, officers brought in nine dogs with two reclaimed and two going to Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue.
