Republicans hear election’s importance from Ralston, Gooch

Georgia Speaker of the House David Ralston spoke to the importance of his fellow republican’s votes in the upcoming elections during the Fannin County Republican Party’s annual Valentine’s Banquet Saturday, February 29. “For over 140 years, the Democratic Party controlled this state,” Ralston said.

Fannin now Second Amendment Sanctuary

The Fannin County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution declaring Fannin County a Second Amendment Sanctuary after receiving input from the community during their regular meeting Tuesday, February 25.

Council spends $30,000, keeps Vendor Ordinance alive

McCaysville City Council members agreed to spend $29,960, adopted a resolution governing meeting agendas and tabled several items for future consideration. The actions came during the council’s regular meeting Tuesday, February 11.

CLC banquet will celebrate 20 years

For the past 20 years, the Fannin Christian Learning Center (CLC) has taught the Bible to students of Fannin County.  The non-profit organization’s annual Winter Banquet fundraiser is scheduled for March 13, 6:30 p.m.
