CLC banquet will celebrate 20 years

    The Fannin Christian Learning Center is gearing up for its annual winter banquet fundraiser as they celebrate their 20th year of teaching the Bible to the youth of Fannin County.     For the past 20 years, the Fannin Christian Learning Center (CLC) has taught the Bible to students of Fannin County. 

    The non-profit organization’s annual Winter Banquet fundraiser is scheduled for March 13, 6:30 p.m.

    The banquet is typically held at the McCaysville Church of God Family Life Center but Executive Director Tina Lee says this year the event will be hosted by The Ridge Community Church, located at 960 Millholland Road in Mineral Bluff, off of Highway 515. The doors open at 6 p.m.

    “There will be many door prizes and, of course, the famous cake auction,” Lee said. “Help make this the biggest banquet yet by participating in the event. Snag those tickets soon. The deadline is March 2.”

    Former CLC students will share their stories of how they’ve been impacted by the Christian curriculum and, students will also entertain attendees with songs and skits. Lee said she’s “excited to hear the testimonies from former staff and students from around the world!”

    Tickets cost $25 and may be purchased from a board member or at the CLC located at 2324 E. First St. in Blue Ridge.
