Polk County voters can begin casting ballots in the Presidential Preference Primary and county General Primary election when election day polls open Tuesday, March 3 at 9 a.m., according to Polk County Election Administrator Nathan Hitson.
Registered voters of Copperhill, Ducktown and Turtletown should head to the Ducktown Community Center or the Turtletown precinct, 4536 Highway 68, to cast their votes any time between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
There are 13,310 registered to vote in Polk County, Hitson said.
Polk residents will see only one contested race, that being for Assessor of Property with Joel R. Jenkins and Jason Pankey appearing on the Republican ballot. Ramona Goforth-Price is the sole candidate on the Democratic ballot, and automatically advances to the General Election.
