Suicide prevention bench donated

The Fannin County Recreation Center was recently donated a bench by Josh’s Benches For Awareness Corporation, which is a non-profit for suicide prevention and awareness.

Water authority okays loan modification

Fannin County Water Authority members met Tuesday, June 30 to approve a $905,000 Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) loan modification. The modification allows the authority to defer six payments from July to December 31, 2020.

Fecal matter found in Fannin water

A regular Fannin County Water Authority meeting Wednesday, July 8, revealed that fecal matter has been found in purchased water. Purchased water comes from the Blue Ridge and Morganton systems.
