Fannin County High School (FCHS) senior Jackson Davis, who recently had a medical emergency and surgery, is home and trying to rest. Thursday morning, August 26, Jackson was getting ready to go to school when he collapsed in the shower.

City of Blue Ridge residents have until Monday, October 4, to register for the November 2 election, and early voting begins October 11. Residents should register to vote by 5 p.m. October 4 at the Fannin County Board of Elections office in the courthouse at 400 West Main Street in Blue Ridge.

Make a difference in the life of a dog at Fannin County Animal Control by volunteering or adopting one. All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted. This past week, no dogs were taken in, but two were adopted and another was reclaimed.
The Fannin County Chamber of Commerce held their Business After Hours event Tuesday, August 24, at the Blue Ridge Bird Seed Company, which is located at 611 East Main Street, and Danielle’s Cafe, which is located next door, provided the food and drinks.
