Adopt A Pet

Make a difference in the life of a dog at Fannin County Animal Control by volunteering or adopting one.

All dogs taken to Animal Control are housed at the facility until being reclaimed or adopted.

This past week, no dogs were taken in, but two were adopted and another was reclaimed.

Barkville Rescue took one dog; Greenville Humane Society took two; Forsyth County Humane Society took two, and Australian Cattle Dog Rescue took one.

Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

The Animal Control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.

More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call at 706-632-3845 or visiting www.petfinder.com.

Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting www.fannincountyga.com/animal-control/.

Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
