The handsome, chocolate Lab shown with Fannin County Animal Control officer J.R. Cornett, is this week’s featured pooch of the week! This guy has a longer, chocolaty coat with caramel colored eyes. He is very sweet and friendly. He was picked up at Lebanon Church in Epworth October 27.

Kiwanis Club of Blue Ridge has a new president, Bill Echelburger. “I got very involved like three years ago,” Echelburger said of his involvement with the group.

Street preaching to continue in Copperhill

The “Southern tradition” of street preaching will continue in the City of Copperhill. The city’s Noise Ordinance was amended during a special called meeting Monday, October 26, to include a decibel limit for amplifiers on the streets.

Arp, Fogel appointed to Blue Ridge posts

Blue Ridge City Council appointed applicants to the city’s Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals during a special called meeting Tuesday, October 20. Councilman Nathan Fitts appointed Mary Fogel to the Zoning Board of Appeals and Angie Arp to the Planning Commission.
