Fund works to help Fannin school children
Fannin County High School student Emma Pittman and Fannin County Middle School Assistant Principal Mark Young display the Untold Stories book produced at the middle school by the Ignite Grant Board of Directors and dedicated to the veterans of Fannin County.

The Humane Society of Blue Ridge cat of the week is Marlene. She is a gorgeous one-year-old tabby with a very sweet disposition. She loves people! Marlene had kittens and was a great mom to them, but now she is ready for her forever home. She is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Fannin County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) Board of Directors Chairman James Jones presents a $4,500 check to Renee Bell, president of the Foster Parent Association, Wednesday, December 9. Beside Jones is Fannin DFCS Director Mark Knowles. The Association raises funds for foster children’s Christmas gifts, yearbooks, class rings, clothes, crutches and other things needed for the children.
