Fannin County has seen an additional 135 cases of COVID-19 over the last two weeks as of Sunday, December 13.
This brings the county’s total up to 1,125 positive cases since the pandemic began. Thirty-one of those people who had contracted the virus have died, seven probable deaths have been reported and 94 have been hospitalized.
In comparison, last week the county had seen 1,052 positive cases total as of Sunday, December 6. Thirty people had died, seven probable deaths had been reported and 94 had been hospitalized.
Of the Fannin County School System’s 2,898 students, less than 10 have a current COVID-19 status, 47 are quarantined due to exposure at school and 34 are quarantined due to non-school exposure. There are currently 404 students enrolled in online learning that do not attend in-person classes.
Of the 472 system employees, less than 10 have a current COVID-19 status, none are quarantined due to an exposure at school and none are quarantined due to non-school exposure.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that Georgia has seen 476,044 confirmed cases, 9,205 virus related deaths, 871 probable deaths, 37,637 hospitalizations and 6,854 ICU admissions. Of these, 4,336 confirmed cases, one death and 87 hospitalizations were reported December 13.
In comparison, last week the state had seen 443,822 confirmed cases and 8,971 virus related deaths.
According to the Georgia Geospatial Information Office, the United States has seen 16,248,938 confirmed cases, 299,044 deaths and 6,298,082 recoveries.
