Townhome rezoning back on council agenda

Expect to see the rezoning proposal of a 14.15-acre tract along Appalachian Highway (515) on the City of Blue Ridge’s January 12 Council meeting agenda. Assistant City Clerk Christina Mortimer said that the developer, Johnnie Hastings of Integrity Development Group, LLC.

The Blue Ridge Mountains Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) presented the SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medal to Sergeant J.K. Davenport of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Department.

Fannin deputies to crack down at traffic lights

Red means stop. That’s the simple but direct warning traffic signals display. It’s also the warning Fannin County Sheriff Dane Kirby stressed last week when he said his office is going to take a proactive approach in dealing with drivers who disobey traffic signals.
