Volunteers pick up 7,000 pounds of trash in Farner

Thanks to five volunteers from Farner and Turtletown, and a Polk County official, over 7,000 pounds of metal items and trash that had been piling up for years along Waller Road in Farner has been cleaned up. “We are the talk of  Farner.

A group of Fannin County firefighters recently completed an eight-hour class designed to teach the safe and effective extrication of victims from a school bus accident.

William Bruce Walden, of Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee, Florida, went home to be with the Lord November 14, 2021, at the age of 88. Bruce was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Hilda; his parents; a sister, Carol Walden Lowry; and a daughter, Krista Lorraine.
