East Fannin collects 1,345 pounds of shoes

East Fannin Elementary successfully collected 52 bags of shoes, totaling 1,345 pounds, during a recent shoe drive fundraiser. The funds raised from the drive will be used to provide seating for the school’s outdoor classroom. Shoes were re-purposed, preventing them from ending up in landfills.

The Fannin County community is stepping up to support those affected by the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene in Asheville, North Carolina, by continuing a donation drive for essential supplies.
