Feed Fannin has officially received its first shipment of hams and turkeys for the holiday season, thanks to the generosity of local donors to the Holiday Meals Campaign.
The first batch of donated meats arrived and is now being stored in a cooler at the Fannin County Family Connection’s Food Pantry. These items will be distributed to food pantry clients and other food-insecure residents throughout the holidays.
As part of the campaign’s effort, some of the shipment has been sent to First Fruits, a Christian-based non-profit organization that serves individuals and families in need in Fannin County.
Canned hams from the shipment are designated for Meals on Wheels recipients and Faith Presbyterian Church’s outreach program, ensuring that even more local residents receive much-needed meals.
Additionally, the donated turkeys will help supply the community-wide Good Samaritans’ Thanksgiving Meal.
Feed Fannin would like to remind the community that donations are no longer being accepted for this year’s campaign, but thanks to the overwhelming support, many local families will have a brighter holiday season.
