The army was small, rag tag and ill equipped. Uniforms often consisted of no more than the pants and jackets found in the soldiers’ closets at home, suited for farming but not fighting. Weapons fit the same description, hung above fireplaces or leaning beside front doors.

GDOT failing to fix dangerous situation

What’s taking so long to fix a dangerous situation? For well over two months a dangerous hole has existed underneath the sidewalk along the west side of Blue Ridge Drive in McCaysville. The hole is at the corner of the William T. “Boss” Mull Memorial Bridge.
