Child porn suspect released on bond

A Fannin County man charged with distributing child pornography is free on bond, having been released the same day he turned himself in at the Fannin County Detention Center.

Former officer sues

Former McCaysville police officer William “Billy” Brackett is suing the city in U.S. District Court for unpaid work time, unpaid overtime, liquidated damages and attorney’s fees and costs for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a single work week or 86 hours  in a 14-day work period.

Call Ralston now on local legislation

Blue Ridge has sent local legislation to Georgia Speaker of the House David Ralston to change the city charter.  Two items are included: staggering the terms of city council members and giving the city council the power to appoint members when a seat becomes vacant.
