“I can’t believe that I’ve been here 40 years,” Wood said. “It was 40 years ago today that I started working for the county in the old courthouse. I’ve worked in the old courthouse.

Elizabeth Grimes was sworn into office as a Copperhill alderman Monday, March 8, prior to the city’s workshop meeting.
Grimes was appointed by the council after Mayor Kathy Stewart’s recommendation to have Grimes fill the seat vacated by Horace D. West last month.

Fannin numbers show COVID-19 cases slowing

Fannin County has seen an additional 20 cases of COVID-19 in the last week.
This brings the county’s total up to 2,012 positive cases since the pandemic began.
