Fannin's first responders honored with annual awards

Mason Cruse and Ryan McDais were presented the "David W. Curtis Memorial Medic Award" for saving the lives of two stabbing victims. Rob Ross, Kevin Panter, Hugh Rogers, Channing Johnstone and Bradley Beaver, from left, received Outstanding Rescue Awards for their parts in saving the lives of two stabbing victims. It was that same incident that resulted in the "David W. Curtis Memorial Medic Award" for Mason Cruse and Ryan McDaris.

Tim Grant and Randy Epperson received the "Lawrence Waters Rescue Award" for saving a mother and her child who were trapped in their kayak by the waters of the Toccoa River.
