UNG Campus to be complete by Fall 2020

The University of North Georgia’s (UNG) Blue Ridge Campus hit a milestone April 24 when the school’s roof and exterior walls were completed. Construction has now moved inside, and work is underway to complete the campus before the start of the Fall 2020 semester Monday, August 17.

Walmart disturbance leads to woman’s arrest in Blue Ridge

A disturbance in the Blue Ridge Walmart led to the arrest of a McCaysville woman Sunday, May 31. Lieutenant Gary Huffman of the Blue Ridge Police Department said officers were dispatched to Walmart about 3 p.m. regarding a woman screaming and talking jibberish.

Alexander Chastain of Blue Ridge graduated from the University of North Georgia (UNG), one of only six military colleges in the country, and has been commissioned in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a second lieutenant. Chastain was recognized during the university’s ceremonies May 7 and 8.
