Blue Ridge gives break for alcohol pouring licenses

City of Blue Ridge restaurants and bars can expect a discount on alcohol pouring licenses for next year. During a Tuesday, September 8, meeting, the city’s council agreed to waive a quarter of the fee for three months in lieu of the hardships they’ve all been faced with as a result of COVID-19.

PruittHealth - Blue Ridge reports 30 COVID-19 positive cases

The Georgia Department of Public Health’s long-term care facility report lists PruittHealth - Blue Ridge as having had 34 of it’s 70 residents and 26 staff members test positive for COVID-19, as well as one virus related death of a resident as of Thursday, September 10.

Blue Ridge City Hall now open

Blue Ridge City Hall is now reopened to the public. While the drive thru has been open, and business has been conducted via appointments and phone, folks are now able to stop by for business. The doors were officially unlocked beginning last week, according to Office Manager Barbie Gerald.
Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association North Georgia Chapter Commander Rob Denison led, Saturday, September 12, State Representative Bunny Manhart, National Sergeant at Arms Gary Lujan and Executive Officer Bubba Slater to place a wreath at the Fannin County Veterans Memorial Park in honor of those who lost their lives during the 9/11 terrorist attacks of 2001.
