Jonathan Wendell Patterson, age 85, of Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at his home.

He was born January 11, 1937, in Blue Ridge, to the late Harschel Patterson and Bonnie Callihan Patterson. He worked for 45 years as an auto body technician for Anderson Hyde Auto. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Weeks, Wayne Patterson, and an infant brother.

Wendell is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Ann Patterson; honorary daughters, Amy Queen, Hadley Queen, Denise Green  and Stacy Jackson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Lois Ann Patterson and Jimmy and Shirley Patterson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sonny and Betty Dills, Herschel and Shirley Chapman, Willa Nell Plush, Jackie and Kate Rogers and Sue Rogers; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Memorial services were conducted Thursday, February 3, 2022, from the Akins-Cobb Chapel at 11 a.m. with Minister Butch Jones officiating.

Military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted, however, for those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
