Violet Marie Randolph Nance passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at her home at 1696 Fairview Drive in Gainesville, Georgia.

Memorial Park of Gainesville was in charge of arrangements.

A celebration of life service to honor her was held March 31 at the Gainesville Church of Christ. Brownie Reaves officiated.

Born in Padena, Georgia, in the mountains of Fannin County June 4, 1926, to Spurgeon and Elizabeth Nell (née Kendall) Randolph, Violet was raised in Morganton.

She met her husband of 61 years during the war. They married in 1944 and raised their family of a daughter and two sons in Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.

She achieved her greatest aspiration to be a wife, mother and homemaker. She often remarked that it was the “greatest career on Earth.”

A humble, devout woman who actively studied the Bible and followed Christian principles, Violet served in the Church of Christ as a teacher and example.

She always offered help and assistance to the those who were underprivileged or challenged as a part of her compassionate nature.

Her husband, Clifford, passed away in 2005. Violet is survived by her daughter, Janis Lynn Nance, of Gainesville; sons, Allen Randolph Nance and Steven Van Nance, of Gainesville; and grandson, Christopher Nance, of Marion, South Carolina.

She leaves behind a legacy of kind, beautiful love.
